Every Moment Has A Meaning
Morning in Berlin,
Sun is sneaking in,
Fried eggs sizzle in the pan.
Back then by my fjord,
I never would have thought
Here’s where I would land.
In the fish factory since the seventies
There were girls from all over the world.
We had heaps of fun,
But they also got me moving on.
Every moment has a meaning.
It all adds up to here and now.
Every moment has a meaning.
If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be here anyhow.
Could have kept working on a boat,
With my guitar I hit the road,
I kind of washed ashore.
All the places I could count,
Like playing in the Mount,
Showed up in the factory’s door.
I didn’t see that right away,
that these girls would lead me all astray
To places and folks
that I never dreamt of before.
Every moment has a meaning …
All the brilliant plans I made,
They were all to throw away,
Leaving space for turnarounds,
After all the ups and downs,
It’s about learning anyway.
Every moment has a meaning …
Every moment has a meaning …
